Bitcoin AI Prompts for Financial Astrology

Use the Bitcoin Genesis Chart with LLM prompts for any AI platform to get forecasts of Bitcoin price movements.

Astrology can be applied to any entity that has a birth moment, including companies and financial instruments. It is not always easy to determine the "birth" or inception date, time, and place for a non-person entity but Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency, accurately recorded its first-ever creation of a coin in its blockchain at 18:15:05 UTC on 3 January 2009 in London (inferred from an embedded newspaper headline). Financial astrologers call this the "Bitcoin genesis chart" and it represents the birth of Bitcoin.

In AstroPrompt, the Bitcoin News view looks at astrological influences formed by aspects between the current positions of planets in the sky (planetary transits) and the Bitcoin genesis chart and assesses whether the astrological influences correspond with news about Bitcoin and Bitcoin's price movements obtained from a web search of current news. It is a unique and unconventional analysis for investors interested in astrological perspectives on crypto price movements and market cycles.

Of course, any financial advisor will warn you that it is irresponsible to use astrology to make financial decisions. Astrology is a tool for reflection and insight that suggests possible meanings and does not determine real-world outcomes, astrological calculations can contain errors, and LLMs are not trustworthy in their interpretations. Given that caveat, this tutorial will show you how to use any LLM to obtain an astrological perspective on recent Bitcoin news.

The Bitcoin News view treats the Bitcoin Genesis Block (3 January 2009) as a natal chart and runs the same calculation pipeline as a personal forecast, obtaining short-term transits, long-term outer-planet transits, and mundane aspects (angles formed between planets in the sky), all anchored on the genesis chart for a selected date. The LLM gets accurate astrological data for the day, plus pre-fetched price and news data, and is asked to interpret Bitcoin price movements within a three-scenario projection.

For an introduction to the process, see calculation-first AI astrology workflow.

Before you get started

Bitcoin News is an option in the AstroPrompt navigation bar, and the fastest way to get a result is to use AstroPrompt. The tutorial below explains how to obtain the same result from any LLM yourself. To do it yourself you will need to install Astrolog, write the chart output to a file, and combine the Astrolog dataset with the prompts shown below. AstroPrompt makes the workflow easier: it runs Astrolog automatically, lets you pick from popular LLMs (such as OpenAI GPTs, Claude Opus, or Google Gemini), and streamlines the prompt assembly. For advanced users, AstroPrompt Pro lets you edit the prompts so you can customize tone, interpretation, or output structure. Try AstroPrompt now; it is FREE.

Bitcoin News

The Bitcoin News view obtains four datasets from Astrolog for a selected date: the Bitcoin Genesis Chart (a natal chart cast for the first block on 3 January 2009 at 18:15:05 UTC), exact transits to the genesis chart for the selected date, long-term transits to the genesis chart from slow-moving planets, and the day's mundane aspects representing collective market sentiment.

No user birth data is required. The prompt asks about Bitcoin price trends and recent news, and the full report produces a three-scenario forecast (bull case, base case, bear case) for the next month and the next year.

The prompt assumes your AI platform (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, etc.) is capable of making a web search for recent Bitcoin price movements and news stories.

How to get an accurate LLM response

AI can't calculate planetary positions accurately or read an ephemeris reliably. To get an accurate and reliable interpretation, you must provide this astrological data:

  • The Bitcoin Genesis Chart with planetary positions, houses, and aspects.
  • Exact transits to the genesis chart from fast-moving planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars).
  • Long-term transits to the genesis chart from slow-moving planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto).
  • Mundane aspects for the date, representing the collective market climate.
  • Pre-fetched price and on-chain data (when web search is enabled), including the 24-hour change, 30-day high and low, ETF flows, SOPR, realized price, and recent crypto headlines.

Astrolog commands

The Bitcoin News view runs three Astrolog commands and pulls one cached genesis chart:

# Exact transits to the Bitcoin Genesis Chart (fast-moving planets):
        astrolog -qb 1 3 2009 06:15pm 0 {tz} {genesis_lon} {genesis_lat} \
                 -T {month} {day} {year} \
-RT0 Sun Moon Mercury Venus Mars \
                 -YQ 0

        # Long-term transits to the Bitcoin Genesis Chart (slow-moving planets):
        astrolog -qb 1 3 2009 06:15pm 0 {tz} {genesis_lon} {genesis_lat} \
                 -T {month} {day} {year} \
-RT0 Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune Pluto \
                 -YQ 0

        # Mundane aspects for the date:
        astrolog -q {month} {day} {year} 12:00pm -z {tz} -a -YQ 0

  • `-qb 1 3 2009 06:15pm 0 {tz} {genesis_lon} {genesis_lat}` defines the Bitcoin Genesis Chart with the standard nine-arg signature. The genesis time is 18:15:05 UTC on 3 January 2009 (06:15pm in 12-hour format), and the location is set to the genesis coordinates.
  • `-T {month} {day} {year}` produces transit aspects to the genesis chart for the selected date.
  • `-RT0 Sun Moon Mercury Venus Mars` restricts the first transit pass to fast-moving planets, which provide short-term price-movement signals.
  • `-RT0 Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune Pluto` restricts the second transit pass to slow-moving planets, which provide trend-level signals.
  • `-q` and -a `` produce the mundane aspect list for the date, the same call as the World News view but standalone.
  • `-YQ 0` disables pagination so the output streams as a single block.

The genesis chart is computed once per session and cached. The transit and mundane calls run for every date the user navigates to.

Prompts

Astrological data is combined with specially prepared text prompts to create the context for a question that begins an AI chat. The LLM processes the entire conversation history as one input context, but for configuration it is easier if we assemble that context from three separate components: a system prompt, a data description prompt, and a user prompt that asks for a report. In AstroPrompt Pro, you can edit and save each of these prompts to customize tone, interpretive approach, or output structure. For this tutorial, copy (and edit if you wish) these three prompts, combine them with the astrological data into one block of text, and then paste the entire block into the AI chat.

System Prompt

The foundational instruction that sets the AI's overall tone, style, and approach, which applies to every message in the conversation. The default produces balanced, measured analysis. You can change it to anything: terse bullet-point summaries, a specific cultural or traditional framework, a particular language, or even a lengthy style guide that reproduces your own voice for client-facing work. This is the most powerful lever for fundamentally changing the character of the AI's responses.

The system prompt is shared across every AstroPrompt view:

When generating astrological forecasts, do not use rhetorical or
persuasive devices typical of popular horoscope writing. Avoid inserting
emotional appeals or literary devices. Avoid the following:

        • Imperatives and exhortative tone (e.g., "Embrace change," "Let go of
the past," "Surround yourself with warmth")
        • Evocative metaphors and symbolic language (e.g., "personal
renaissance," "magnetic energy," "mirror of the soul")
        • Overly enthusiastic, poetic, or cute phrasing
        • Vague affirmations or inspirational advice not grounded in planetary
          positions

Instead, use a neutral, informative tone. Focus on:

        • Relevant planetary influences and their timing
        • Which life areas are affected and how
        • Expected themes based on astrological interpretation
        • Possibility framing using modal verbs (e.g., may, might, could)
          without interpretive flourish
        • Objective language suitable for readers seeking analysis rather than
          affirmation

Structure any planner forecast by timeline or topic (e.g., career,
        relationships, health).

AstroPrompt adds a terminology directive (advanced or beginner) based on its settings, and pre-fetched Bitcoin price and news data is injected as context from a separate web search.

Data Description

This prompt tells the AI what the raw astrological data actually represents. This is how the AI understands the underlying dataset. Advanced users can use this to direct the AI's attention toward specific technical elements they care about most.

After the four datasets, AstroPrompt appends this description so the model can navigate them:

This data contains astrological data relevant to Bitcoin price analysis
for the selected date, including: (1) the Bitcoin Genesis Chart (natal
chart for Bitcoin's creation on January 3, 2009), (2) exact transits to
the Genesis Chart, (3) long-term transits from slow-moving planets, and
        (4) mundane aspects representing collective market sentiment.

The numbered list maps directly onto the four data blocks so the model can refer to "(1) the Genesis Chart" or "(3) long-term transits" without confusion.

Full Report Prompt

AstroPrompt provides detailed instructions when a user wants a full report. This is typically the longest prompt and has the greatest single impact on report quality and structure. The default walks the AI through a specific analytical sequence. You can replace this entirely as you wish, for example, to focus the report on career and finance, restructure it around specific techniques, or direct the LLM to use the point of view of a favored lineage or tradition.

The full report prompt structures the analysis around a three-scenario forecast. The past/present version:

==================

Prepare a report on Bitcoin's recent and anticipated price movements for
        {date} based on the following:

        DATA:
        1. Refer to the Bitcoin Genesis Chart to understand Bitcoin's
           foundational astrological signature
        2. Examine the Exact Transits (fast-moving planets) for short-term
           influences
        3. Examine the Long-Term Transits (slow-moving planets) for longer-term
           themes
        4. Review the Mundane Aspects for indicators of collective market
           sentiment

        INSTRUCTIONS:
        1. If the date is today or in the past, review the provided Bitcoin news
headlines for {date} and the last few days.
        2. Give special attention to recent reported macroeconomic indicators
(interest rates, Fed policy), technical analysis (support/resistance
zones, trendlines), and on-chain metrics (SOPR, realized price, ETF
           flows).
        3. Present a list of news items, filtering carefully for items that
align with prevailing astrological themes and influences, giving
special attention to data that influence Bitcoin price movement.
        4. Provide a probabilistic forecast of Bitcoin (BTC) price movement
using a 3-scenario framework for the next month and for the next
           year:
           - BULL CASE: Most optimistic scenario with supporting astrological
             factors
           - BASE CASE: Most likely scenario balancing all factors
           - BEAR CASE: Most pessimistic scenario with challenging astrological
             factors

The three-scenario framework is the central structure. It forces the model to commit to ranges rather than hedging, and to tie each scenario back to specific astrological factors. The future-date variant drops the news-review section and emphasizes that all output is speculative.

Unique features of the Bitcoin News prompt

  • The Bitcoin Genesis Chart is treated as a natal chart, so the same calculation-first pipeline that handles personal forecasting handles Bitcoin.
  • Transits are split into two passes (fast-moving and slow-moving) so the model gets a clear separation of short-term triggers and long-term trends.
  • Mundane aspects are included as a third layer representing collective market sentiment, distinct from genesis-chart transits.
  • When web search is enabled, AstroPrompt pre-fetches the 24-hour price change, 30-day range, on-chain metrics, and crypto headlines, and injects them into the prompt as context.
  • The full report enforces a three-scenario structure (bull, base, bear) tied to specific astrological factors, which prevents the model from giving an unfalsifiable forecast.
  • Future-dated forecasts are explicitly speculative, with the prompt instructing the model to flag the speculation rather than predict.

What's Next

This was written in May 2026, describing the data and prompts used in AstroPrompt version 1.0. Astrologers are just beginning to explore the capabilities of AI as a tool for astrological insight.
