About astrologyprompt.com
About astrologyprompt.com. A guide to using AI for astrology.
I am Daniel Kehoe. I am an astrologer and software engineer from San Francisco, now living in SE Asia. I founded Timecasters and publish mac.install.guide. I have been practicing Western astrology for many years, and I built AstroPrompt to bridge the gap between ephemeris-grade calculation and AI-readable interpretation.
What this site is
astrologyprompt.com is a collection of what I've learned about using AI for astrology. The audience is anyone who has tried using ChatGPT for astrology readings, anyone evaluating the current crop of AI astrologer apps, and any working astrologer who wants to use AI with accurate and reliable results.
The message is simple. AI is good at the interpretation half of astrology. AI is bad at the calculation half. Almost every popular AI astrology product collapses both halves, which is why the output is unreliable. This site is the prompts, workflows, and honest assessments that come from expert experimentation with AI astrology.
About AstroPrompt
I built a wokbench application for AI astrology because I was tired of copying chart text from Astro.com into ChatGPT by hand. With some savvy prompt engineering, and accurate astrological data, the interpretations were great. But copy-paste is too much work. AstroPrompt makes it easy by combining the calculation step and the prompt-creation step into one interface so the user can spend their attention on the interpretation, not the data wrangling.
AstroPrompt is free. The calculation engine uses a real ephemeris and an accurate time-zone library. And the AI chat offers a shoice of eight AI LLMs, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
My opinions
I don't expect everyone to agree with my opinions. I try to be even-handed when I compare AstroPrompt to other tools. Whenever I recommend it, I disclose that I built AstroPrompt. I include the other free tools (Astro.com, Astro-Seek) in every comparison because readers need to know about alternatives.
